Polk County High school provides classes in music, English, math, science, social studies and physical education. The school also offers foreign language classes in Spanish. It operates beta, computer, history and drama clubs. The school provides membership opportunities in the National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) and Business Professionals of America (BPA). Polk County High school operates a student council and has a staff of a counselor, bookkeeper, secretary, assistant, librarian and aides. The school offers various sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, football, volleyball and softball. It has a library that includes a range of books, magazines and periodicals.
