First off this shelter IS NOT A NO KILL FACILITY!!!! Also apparently if your neighbor finds your animal on their property they have the right to take your animal any where they choose whether it be a shelter or the middle of the dessert and dump your animal. And if they did take your animal to their shelter and they feel the animal is feral ,, for example a cat that you have had for over 12 years and is no way a feral animal, they immediately put them to sleep and if you call or go down there they say that they are not allowed to give you any information about whether your pet was brought in by a neighbor. I still don't know exactly what happened but I do know that my cats were loaded up in a truck and the truck did go to the shelter. It was just as they closed on a Friday, so I had to wait till Monday to go down and not one of my cats were in a cage. The only answer I got was that if they are feral animals and brought in they are immediately put to sleep. I had just sold my home and moved over to the street behind. My home that I had just moved out of was right behind so of course my kitties went to there old home. So for them to claim that they are a no kill facility is false, the animals that are there for adoption are put to sleep after a number of days. My cat's did not get that opportunity for me to get them out or to be put up for adoption. Out of my 5 cat's I would probably have to agree with 1 that might appear to be a little on the feral side. She was a rescue and a little scared of other people.
