Elliotts Used Cars

I bought a mini van from one of the salesperson on Craigslist that represented the company. They said the van was in great condition, and when I test drove it, it seemed fine because she only let me drive around the parking lot at the store. No lights on and was told it would pass emissions. So it seemed legit so I bought it. I was there with my pregnant wife and two kids. Well the next day it wouldn't start, and there was coolant all over the ground underneath it. I put coolant and broke down when it was 5 degrees with my kids and pregnant wife. The engine light came on also and was told it wouldn't pass emissions. I only drove it home from Elliot's Used Cars the day before. I called the sales lady immediately. She said that the owner, John, would trade me another mini van. He then backed off the deal. I then was told that he would repair it. He never once called me. Only the salesperson relaying messages. After 2 weeks, I got fed up and asked for an extension on the temp tag, and for my title. He then left a voice message to get the title but no extension on the temp tag. He also told me that it was an "as is" sale and wouldn't help me out.

I just want to warn everyone that this company is very crooked and DO NOT buy a vehicle from them. They made $1.9 million last year and couldn't help replace the $2500 mini van I bought there that broke down the VERY NEXT DAY. They couldn't even extend a tag so I could get it to pass emissions. I now have a $2500 mini sitting broke down in my driveway that I can't get registered because it won't pass emissions. They could of done SOMETHING to help. I asked for help and reason and didn't get any of that. The absolute worst business tactics you could get from a company. Hopefully I can scrap the van and at least get a few hundred out of it. Too bad they screwed a family with 3 kids to make a couple thousand off of during Christmas. Please take my advice and RUN when you see these guys. And watch for the Ads they put on the internet. They're busted vehicles just made to last long enough to sell.
