Doodads

well... at one time way back... the food was pretty darn good. then,somewhere around 2011 it started going down hill... we stopped going there. Heard from different people from time to time that it was still bad.

my parents went in Nov. of 2015 and said WOW... they have some new staff and it was really good. So we went last night - WOW - it was REALLY good. I had a side salad... it was rather big and it was perfect and i am really picky about freshness, crispness, and quality... had ranch dressing... was excellent.

then comes the main meal... 3 catfish fillets - perfect... homemade tartar sauce - perfect. krinkle cut fries - perfect ( cooked and not soaked up with oil ) the fried okra was reallly good - i didn't order that but i stole some from my wife. the sweet tea wasn't perfect but it was still pretty good. i also had cucumbers and onions (marinated) - that was also perfect.

the hush puppies were not good at all... sorry doo dad - u need to add egg and onion to them and that will help... (they are close but need help) anyway - for the price and amount of fodod - this was a great meal and we will now start back over to DOO DAD's again. before; i would've given a star or two... now - they have righted the ship so i say a 5. ALSO - the waitress was incredible... she worked her rear end off - i did not think one person could handle the whole room - (she had 6 tables) - This young lady will prove you wrong - she never missed a beat for any table - SERVICE - 10 STARS.... don't know her name but she deserves the gold star for the year.

think we will head back over there tonight.... but earlier.

I Love DooDaads Great Great Home Cooked Food not to mention only one mile from my house

This is absolutely one of the most horrid places I have ever eaten. If I could give it o stars I would. I should have noticed by the lack of cars in the parking lot how bad the food would be. I ordered 3 catfish dinners. On the way home, the food smelled good and I could not wait to dig in. After getting home, I unwrapped the 2 baked potatoes and was about to split them open when I noticed they were bascially RAW!! You could not even pierce them with a fork. The catfish was just as bad if not worse. The fish tasted like it had been sitting at the bottom of a pond for years and then they used too much salt in the batter to apparently cover up the taste. If you are planning on eating here, PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW FIRST!!!

Terrible service, rude staff and owner, food was cold and took FOREVER to get to the table. When we asked for warm food, the owner threw down the basket of food she had onto our table and stomped off in a huff. Then they overcharged us and gave us a hard time when we wanted to straightened out.

I have tried just about everything on the menu... Evrything was great and will continue to go here often.
