This school district, every school in it, is an absolute nightmare. Unfortunately I have no choice in schooling for my daughter.

From the age of 6 my daughter has been bullied, by the staff. In Kindergarten she was forced off the bus at the wrong stop 18 times. One time, the sitter called and said that she was not on the bus. It took 22 minutes for the school to find her, she was 6. When they found her, took her to the correct bus stop and dropped her off they called me (her mother) and told me that they dropped her off with her mother and they wanted to let me know.

After being bullied by 2 different teachers in her school by 2nd grade, we switched schools within the district. Things didn't get better. She was sent home with no shoes one time. Her shoes were stolen, she reported it, the office told her to go home. She was a walker, and had to walk 1/2 mile home with no shoes in 4th grade. The school never called me.

By middle school she was having sexual rumors spread by a student. School didn't do anything except to tell me that 'students just do things like this to get attention. If we leave it alone they will stop picking on her'.

In 9th grade, during a parent teach conference I was told by a teacher that she was doing great in class. Homework all turned in on time, she seemed to be getting all the concepts, "One of his best students". Since he would not use the online grade book required by all the teachers I couldn't know any different, until I got her report card 3 weeks later. She had a 19% and it was noted that she had not turned in any homework. After trying to contact this teacher 4 times I finally got a call back, at which he told me he didn't know what I was talking about that he doesn't recall me even showing up to parent teacher conferences.

This district bends over backwards to make every moment spent here an absolute nightmare. If you have any way what-so-ever do not let your children walk through their doors. You will regret every minute.

COTA PASSES FOR CHARTER SCHOOLS/FOCUS KIDS

GIVE OUR KIDS BACK THEIR COTA BUS PASSES!!!! WHY MAKE OUR KIDS NOT GET A HIGHER EDUCATION IF THEY CHOOSE TO HAVE IT? THEY ALWAYS SAY NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND WELL I BELIEVE THAT IS WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW!!!!! I am a parent of three boys. I pulled my kids out of the city schools because they was not getting educated. Now my kids can NOT GET TO SCHOOL because Mrs. HARRIS did away with COTA PASSES FOR THEM. WE PARENTS OF CHARTER KIDS & KIDS THAT DON'T GO TO CITY SCHOOLS DO PAY TAXES & OUR KIDS SCHOOLS GET FUNDED JUST LIKE THE CITY SCHOOL. I REFUSE TO PUT MY KIDS BACK IN A SCHOOL SYSTEM THAT DON'T EDUCATE KIDS. I WOULD RATHER DO HOME SCHOOL. MY KIDS GO TO HORIZON SCIENCE ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL. THERE KIDS HAVE TO HAVE 4 CREDITS TO THE CITY THREE TO GRADUATE IN ALL MAJOR CLASSES. HORIZON GIVES MORE THEN A CITY SCHOOL. THEY DON'T CUT OUT CLASS BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE MONEY TO TEACH A CLASS. THEY HAVE FIRM STRUCTURE BALANCE FOR THE KIDS. Over the summer the problem on the cota buses was PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO COULD NOT ACT RIGHT!!!! THEY SHOULD DO AWAY WITH THEIR PASSES SINCE THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO ACT.
