Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant
Add to FavoritesIN BUSINESS
The Mazatlan in Erin is poor.
The Mazatlan in Waverly is worse.
But this one in Dickson is OUTSTANDING!!
We have eaten mexican food in Mexico - and this Mazatlan is a bit better!!!
Do not pass this one up -
Yes, service CAN get a bit slow -
Because they are always PACKED with happy customers!
The daily specials - especially Fajitas - are not only fantastic, but economical as well!

Provided by CitysearchYes I love the food and would enjoy to continue eating there but the service is less than profection.
My family a group of 10 or so came in to eat we were seated and i unfortunatly had to get my food to go and leave for work.
I ordered before the hole rest of the table made a completely seperate order and told the waiter i wanted my plate togo while they were waiting for the rest of the party to arrive.
they brought my food out on a plate. I informed the person that brought my food that I needed the Food togo.
A few min later my waiter came out and started accusing me and pointing his finger saying if I wanted togo that I should of said that and I didn't order the food togo. I know that I did order the food togo and why would one person in a party of 10 order there food before the rest of the table was ready to order anyways I let them keep the food and my family of 4 part of the party left and ate elsewhere.. happy to say Mazatlan is not my mexican restaurant of choice
I recommend LAS FAITAS it is even better!
When I was pregnant I used to pick up take nachos from this restaurant twice a day.. Every single dish I tried was magnificent. I moved out of the area five years ago and I still I dream about their nachos. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

Provided by CitysearchThe description for Mazatlan as being roomy,& having a Mexican grocery attached is incorrect & is
actually describing Camino Real.In fact Mazatlan has got to be the most cramped uncomfortable restaurant that I have ever eaten at,that being said I keep going back for the food, which is excellent,
consistent from visit to visit,& reasonable. As far as being kid friendly,it's not.The dining area is located
right next to the bar,& it's been my expereince that management will at times allow the booze to flow to
long & to freely in the dining area. The service is good as far as getting your food, but unless you pin down your waiter & specifically ask for your ticket be prepared to wait,& wait,& oh well you get the picture.I recommend the Fajitas Jalisco, the Special Dinner,or the Tamales.I love they're Guacomole Dip for
an appetizer,& although the Nachos Supremos is listed as an appetizer I often get it as the main course.
Word of caution, don't order the Fried Ice Cream unless you have at least 30 minutes to kill,it will take
that long for it to thaw to the point that it can be eaten.Once again Mazatlan's is cramped & inconvenient
but the food is worth it.Management should consider expanding or moving to a larger location.
Decent food. Tastes the same as every other mexican resturaunt I've ever been to.
This place has great food and really helps you stick to your budget. They have a great lunch menu.
