Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age. It can affect your fertility, stop your periods or make them hard to predict, cause acne and unwanted body/facial hair, and possibly raise your risk of other health problems. Although the exact cause of PCOS is unknown, early diagnosis and treatment along with weight loss may reduce the risk of long-term complications such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
Pediatric Care
The second floor of the Women and Infants center offers care for gynecology patients and pediatrics patients, exam rooms for pediatric procedures and gynecological exams, a family waiting area, a team room that can be used by pediatrics patients who have long hospital stays – allows for tutoring or catching up on schoolwork, and Xbox One gaming consoles for pediatrics patients.

In addition to her education, Dr. Lowry served as the director of the Eating Disorder Treatment Team at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and started a primary care clinic for women. She is excited to work with an integrated team that is focused on women’s health.

Obstetrics
Dr. Hilton is committed to all aspects of women’s health and especially to high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and contraceptive care.
Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a condition where cells that are similar to the inner lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. This tissue, which does not belong outside the uterus, can break down, bleed, and cause symptoms. It can cause pain in the lower part of the abdomen and trouble getting pregnant. It is not known exactly how or why this happens.
Pregnancy
At Parkhill, we are equipped and trained to provide top-tier care for high-risk pregnancies. Women with multiple gestation or pre-existing medical conditions are at a higher risk of experiencing complications. We provide personalized care and special delivery techniques for patients in high-risk pregnancy situations.
Labor and Delivery
The first floor of the Women and Infants center has 13 triage stations and 28 private mother-baby rooms, including 6 antepartum rooms with fetal monitoring capability for extended-stay obstetric patients, and infant warmers. The first floor also has 17 labor & delivery rooms, a labor & delivery family waiting area, a team room where patients can meet with a multidisciplinary care team for discharge instructions and guidance, and a sandwich counter open to public.

Ultrasound scans are safe for both the mother and baby as they use sound waves or echoes to make an image, instead of radiation. Your obstetrician will utilize Ultrasound scans during your routine appointments to evaluate fetal development.
Dr. Salyer enjoys all aspects of her job, whether it be delivering babies or seeing someone for their annual exam. She has special interests in high risk obstetrics, medication-assisted treatment in pregnancy, minimally invasive surgery, and menopause.
Robotic Surgery
Dr. Bailey has a special interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, robotic surgery, and treatment for pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, and infertility.
Hysterectomy
VNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery) is a minimally invasive hysterectomy surgery that eliminates the need for your surgeon to make incisions in your abdomen to perform the surgery. In the vNOTES procedure, your doctor uses specialized instruments inserted through the vagina instead of making incisions in your abdomen. This allows your doctor to gain access to the uterus and/or fallopian tubes and ovaries without any visible scarring.*
