When I first entered their store in Franklin, it was disorganized chaos, but it had every kind of fabric I ever wished to find! This shop was the best in selection, buit it was difficult to find anything in all the disorganization. They ultimately moved, but I have not seen the new store. I imagine when they were packing, they unearthed a lot of hidden treasres. This was the best place for hard to find fabrics. Since their move, I hope they organized and got a hold of all that they had! The people who were in the shop weren't very nice, but I hope that has changed too! If they ever found everything, I'm sure they would be surprised at what they had! The savvy quilter has to know what she wants, because the help and the disorganization were not helpful at all. But there is no greater selection here! Happy Treasure Hunting!
What ever you are looking for they have it. Now in a larger building in Brentwood TN they are able display fabric. They have classes also. Visit. You will not want to leave empty handed. What quilter does.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Go visit this shop for yourself. The staff was professional, helpful and very welcoming. There is a wonderful selection of patterns and notions. There are enough completed samples...bags, pin cushions, girl dresses, home decor and of course quilts to keep you in a daze for hours.
All I will say is: Judge for yourself and tell them Thomasean sent you!!
Stitcher's Garden is a fabulous quilt store. Several of the girls who work there were very helpful and found items that I was looking for-very quickly. There is a very good variety of fabrics from Civil War Reproductions, batiks, thirties reproduction, Christmas and holiday selections, and just about anything else you can think of. If you ask the girls up front, they can direct you to what you are looking for. It is a large store, and also has a great selection of books, notions and seasonal items. There are bolts occasionally on the floor and above the shelves, but I've never seen a better selection anywhere! Myra, the owner has always been very kind and hospitable when I have visited. Quilter in Athens, Alabama.
