The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is governed by the city of Inglewood, Calif., and offers a variety of recreational, social and community beautification services and programs. Its administration division provides administrative, clerical, financial, budgetary and project management support services. The department s human services division provides free summer lunch and after-school snack programs for youths up to the age of 18. It also conducts free computer classes and provides tutoring and college preparatory assistance to teenagers. The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department offers transportation assistance, social services, and educational and recreational programs for senior citizens, caregivers and adults with disabilities. It operates a college resource laboratory that is equipped with college catalogs, applications and computers. The department also offers a range of family services, including counseling, emergency assistance, employment training, parenting classes and prenatal education.
