I was working in the field in that area one afternoon. I stopped in just to get one piece of chicken and a small greens. They would not sell me one piece of chicken so I just got the small greens. I drove off eating my greens on the go. I literally wanted to drive back and get a larger cup they were soooooo good.

Provided by CitysearchAnd if you want to talk about it, the owner Adolf will sit right down with you! He is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. Portions are hearty, delicious , with a large menu to choose from and a great dessert menu to finish off with. Dine in or take out. Service is quick and friendly. They have managed to keep prices low, probably because they have remained small. Parking is minimal, but they need to open a few more, that would help. If you havent tried it, youre missing out. Treat yourself.

Provided by CitysearchI haven't had the opportunity to try a great number of soul food restaurant in Los Angeles, but of those I have, SFK definitely has the best food. I love the baked chicken and mac & cheese. On Sundays they have a full dinner for about $15 that includes dessert and a drink, three sides, cornbread muffins, and an entree--it's a great deal. It's a pretty small joint, not the place you want to go if you're looking for ambiance, but the food is outstanding and the service is usually pretty good.
