Our rescue group, Mutt Matchers & Friends has used Dr. Andrews and her staff since about 2006. She has always been there for us when we needed her for our dogs and our three Mutt cats. Emergencies happen at a rescue, and when we have called, we have gotten in as fast as we could get up there. Her staff is courteous, helpful, and always polite to everyone. Dr. Andrews is very personable, and at the same time professional. When our dogs are adopted, we always recommend Stockton Hill Animal Hospital. On a personal note, I have always taken my own dogs to SHAH, and a lot of the people who volunteer at our dog rescue also use her as their vet.
Staff is friendly & good w my dog. Left her for wknd boarding & it was awful. I have a 10 lb poodle. After leaving instructions for all care including medicine for calming if needed. When picked her up she had not been fed was extremely thirsty & itching where harness had not bern removed. Explanation was she growled at them so they couldn't do anything. Vet was out of town so no medicine. She has been to groomers & other vets when spayed etc & never a problem. Very upset will not use as vet or boarder ever.
Being new to Kingman, I read good reviews about this office so I brought my dog here for shots and a check up. It turned out to be the best animal hospital I have ever seen. These people are the nicest, most caring professional people I've had the pleasure of dealing with. When we went to the exam room on the blackboard was printed, "Welcome Minnie" for my dog! They all knew her name! Hilary checked her out as did Dr. Cornelius. Minnie didn't even mind her 'paw-dicure' from Hillary! This is a great place to take your beloved furry friends. I wouldn't trust any other animal hospital..I'm sold on Kingman Animal Hospital. I also won the drawing for the day!!!!
Dr. Andrews and Stockton Hill Animal Hospital have gone out of their way to help us with my daughter's epileptic puppy. Dr. Andrews has been available online and on the phone at all times of the day or night without complaining. Her and her staff really care about the animals and it shows in everything they do. We will not take our animals to any other animal hospital as long as they are there to show love for our pets. THANK YOU DR. ANDREWS AND THE STAFF AT STOCKTON HILL ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!
The people at Stockton Hill Animal Hospital showed me that they have nothing but love and respect for animals and their owners. My dog Drako was having multiple seizures and Dr. Kristen was willing to work with me, even late at night after business hours, to get them under control. She helped me to fix his medication to the point where they were under control. I could have easily lost my 8 month old puppy but she was willing to help me fight for his life. Most vets would have given up a long time ago, but she and her staff fought not only for me but with me. I feel that their prices are reasonable because they don't just treat what is happening but they help you to make it not return. They don't just use a temporary fix but help you to find a more permanent one. I am MORE than thankful for the things they have done, not only with Drako but previous pets in my family, through out the years. I will NEVER take my pets to any other location than their's!
Our group, Mutt Matchers & Friends has partnered with Stockton Hill Animal Hospital for approximately 5 years. We value their integrity, honesty and professionalism. All of our dogs are very well taken care of. If we have any medical issues with any of our rescued dogs, all it takes is a phone call and we usually have an appointment as soon as possible - sometimes even the same day. In many cases, sometimes a phone call is sufficient, and no trip is necessary. Dr. Nelson's staff people are always friendly, and our trips to the "vet" are fun - at least for the humans! If any of our dogs have surgery, they call and let us know how it went the day of the surgery. They always call the next day to ensure everything is going well. Many of our adopters continue on with Dr. Andrews and her crew and they are also very pleased with her services, As of this time, we have had approximately 150 dogs visiting Stockton Hill Animal Hospital from our center. We plan to continue our partnership with them They are also our partner in our SPOT program, which is a free spay/neuter program for those folks who cannot afford to have their pets fixed. Without their cooperation, our program would have had a difficult time in "taking off" in the greater Kingman area. Thanks Dr. Andrews - and staff!

I was disgusted by this place. I took my cat in because of an ear hematoma. I am from seattle originally and had my mothers cat treated up there for the SAME thing. Up there it was $180, this place wanted to charge me over $1000! All they would have had to do is is lance it and put in a drain tube. That should not take that much money! They would not help the cat at all except for what I could pay for at the time cash. They charged me $40 some dollars for some medication for his ear, I figured ok. Then I found out that was one dose they said they gave! I looked up online for the cost of a tube of the medication they charged me $40 a dose for, a 2 ox tube is $18! The whole thing for them was the money, stay far away from them! I would rather go to a small vet who cares, than this big one who likes money better than caring for our pets.
While no one likes to see something negative written about them, we try to learn from these types of incidents and want to understand why the comments were made and how we might use that to improve our service. From your online review I see you were very upset about the estimate you had been given for your cat’s ear hematoma. After reviewing the estimate I provided you, I agree with you that it was a bit high. While I agree it was a bit high, I would like to point out that the estimate was not solely for the procedure, but included follow up visits, all cleanings, medications, surgical options, etc which may have contributed to it seeming higher than expected. In addition, the estimate given was less than $1000 and the lower end was a good deal less than $1000. Regardless, after reviewing your estimate, and agreeing with your assessment, I have decreased the price we charge for the procedure. I also have reviewed the pricing for our ear mite medication, which is a one time treatment, and while I can’t compete with online pharmacies that can buy in bulk, I have made an significant adjustment to that price as well. I became a vet because I love animals and have wanted to help animals ever since I was a small girl. I am a solo doctor because I do not wish to work for a big corporation practice and do not believe in an “assembly line” approach to medicine. I wish that we were able to provide our services at no charge, but as with any business we have bills, overhead, employees, and products for which we have to pay. I wish it were different. Again, I want to thank you for making me take a step back and re-evaluate what we are doing. I understand and appreciate your criticism as it has helped me become a better doctor offering my clients and patients a better service.
