Very Professional! I called them to fix our metal gate and they come to my place the next day! Their service is also more affordable than the other company that I used before. I highly recommend them and I will use them again in the future!😊

I had called Appalachian Ironworks for a fence estimate. Owner arrived on 6/17 at 9:00 AM and I discussed what I would like to replace the wood fence with, and the style. John wrote down all the information and stated that he did not have his wheel measurement with him for yardage and said he would return. Never called, never came back, never notified me, and I left a voice mail with the office and no one ever returned my call. If this project is more than the business would like to take on, then state is as such. My husband's comment was what person would come out for an estimate without measuring tools. Work, business, professional and personal ethics are definitely lacking here. I would not recommend any business who does not have the courtesy to be honest and forthright with a potential client.
It is a lot easier to write a review for someone when you are upset / dissatisfied or generally offended. Most of the time when we have positive experiences we go our merry way just thankful that we met someone who would work within our budget on a security issue - that was an ASAP. Of course, no one can please all the people all the time - but my experience has been nothing but positive! Well above my expectations. Thank you for the great customer service and "human" approach to business!
Myself and the owner of Appalachian Ironworks worked out a handshake deal to do some work for each other. I provided some graphic art for him and he provided some Ironwork I needed. I produced what he asked for within a couple of weeks. There were some additional small details to be worked out but were never addressed. I asked for my piece by April 1, 2012 as I had an event I wanted to show my latest signage for my club. To this day the piece has never been produced. Call after call to the owner, to the office were just ignored, finally I just had to return my sign I dropped off and I will not do business with any company that can not keep their word on a piece agreed upon. I will not send business to a place that does not keep their word on the little things. This was a creative project on both ends and was a trade, no money was to be exchanged and was agreed upon fully in the beginning. I don't take reviews like this lightly nor do I go out of my way to write a bad review for someone. This the exception. I do hope this might make a difference in you doing business with a company that has more drama than Ive seen in a long time within it. Especially if there is money involved. I would make sure a contract is involved in any work you may have done as so if there is any question a judge can make a decision if it has to go that far. Sad really...
