Brush Collection is a unit of the Office of Solid Waste, which is operated by the City of Knoxville s public services division. The unit is responsible for the collection of brushes and other household waste materials. It also grants burning permits for waste materials and operates the Tree-Cycling program. The unit collects more than 33,000 tons of waste materials annually. Brush Collection offers tree and leaf collection services. In addition, it provides brush pick up scheduling services over telephone. The Office of Solid Waste offers battery and computer recycling services. The office administers bulky waste collection and flag disposal programs.
