We also offer clients peace of mind through a personal emergency response system - Direct Link. We don't require long term contracts and there is no equipment to buy.

        While I am not elderly, I recently had an accident which resulted in surgery and went from an active wife and mother of two young children to completely helpless. I was unable to walk without crutches, unable to carry anything, etc. Cathy with Home Helpers came in and cleaned my home. She took care as if it were her own. She was prompt, courteous, friendly and very thorough. I would recommend Home Helpers to anyone who just needs a little help.

        My loved one was put in danger when this company fell to staff shift, was promised someone would return call, had to follow up several times, given excuses at the last minute of not having staff available. I was promised staff will be available 24/7 not true

        We can certainly understand these feelings. Having an older adult put in danger due to an absense of care can be frightening. However, I cannot recall an instance where care has been confirmed as scheduled and a caregiver did not show, or, if there were extenuating circumstances to prevent the caregiver from showing up, a substitute being immediately arranged and phone calls made to the client and/or the client's family. I'm confident that the other reviews are more reflective of the views of the families we serve. There are also cases of competitors fraudulently posting negative reviews. The issue brought up is serious and we want to assure others that this is not the Home Helpers say of serving older adults.

        I would highly recommend Home Helpers to anyone seeking in-home care for a loved one. I've gotten to know Sam Sellers, the president of Home Helpers, over the past year and he is a very compassionate, dependable guy whose business reflects his character. I've heard many accounts of how Home Helpers' services have relieved the anxiety many family members have had about an elderly parent or grandparent.         I cannot say how pleased I am with the personal care service from Home Helpers. They were great with mom. I have never dealth with better, more caring people.
