Never shop at this Wal Mart. ...

Never shop at this Wal Mart. I lived 35 minutes away from this wal mart and called them the other night to see if they had an item in stock, since my local wal marts did not have them. When I called I eventually got in contact with a manager who assured me they had at least 8 of the items in stock, and were about to put on the salesfloor within the next hour and he urged me that they would then sell out very quickly after being stocked and that I should come over quickly. When I got to the store, I noticed the items were not in stock, so I called back the manager from within the store. When he learned that I was on the aisle where he promised me earlier on the phone the items were located, he began to sound very nervous and began telling me that they were in one of the departments surrounding the department I was in. So the manager then proceeded to lead me up and down every aisle of the sporting goods, toy, home improvement, domestics, and garden center departments of the store. After 30-45 minutes walking around the store while his story about the item's location kept changing constantly and his shaky, stammering, often times mumbling or ranting, his generally nervous voice made him sound like a child with cookie crumbs around his mouth when his mother asks him who stole the cookies from a cookie jar, and I knew something was not right. But still I kept my cool calm demeanor, and politely asked the manager to just come meet me on the sales floor and show me what was going on, like where he found the items on the phone earlier, and whether or not somebody had picked them out and checked them out before I got there. The manager then said he would send an associate from the back out to help me, and to meet them over by receiving in electronics. After another 30 minutes of waiting by receiving, a kind lower level employee who had been pulling stock multiple times while I waited by the receiving door politely asked if I needed help or anything. I told him I was waiting for an associate sent on behalf of the manager. A few minutes later another manager came out, and she said to me that they had the items but would not sell to me, due to various reasons such as something called a "sell by date". I then explained my ordeal to the manager and asked them nicely to just sell me the items since, to be quite honest, they had manipulated me and thoroughly wasted around 2 and a half hours of my time, not to mention the 70 miles of gas and waear and tear of my car that I had to spend to go on the round trip to this wal mart under the pretense I would be sold the items I was after. The manager then, again trying to contain her sadistic smirk, said no, that I would have to come back at midnight on the 27th to buy these items. My only reply was a chuckle followed by the comment, "You honestly think I'm coming back here after this?"

When I got out to my car I then tried to call the store back, to find the manager who led me on this wild goose chase in the first place and asked him what happened, and why'd he lied to me, and why'd he'd not come meet a customer face to face in a store who's proud to deem themselves with the slogan "save money and live beter", but no one ever picked up again for the rest of the night. Overall this was my worst Wal Mart experience ever, even worse than the time my car got keyed up and down the driver side and rear passenger door. "Save Money and Live Better" ??? Neither of those is happening if you go to Shackleford Wal Mart, because if they even treat you half, even a quarter as bady as they treated me, then you will have spent a lot of money for nothing, your likfe won't be any better. SO last thing I will say here is if you are a decent honest customer just trying to give a Wal MArt business, do not go to Shackleford Wal MArt. However if you are a skilled shoplifter, then please by all means give this Wal MArt a visit or two.
