The State of Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission, also known as AWCC, protects the moral, social and economic benefits of employers and employees from financial burdens. It enforces and regulates several workers' compensation laws. The commission also specializes in administrative and regulatory functions, including monitoring claims and benefit payment for injured workers. The State of Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission processes settlements and lump sum payments. In addition, it operates adjudication, administration, data processing, health and safety, legal advisor, medical cost containment, and operations and compliance divisions. The State of Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission also offers workplace loss control and accident prevention assistance services.
