Provided by CitysearchBest meal we've had in LA! Tasting menu was particularly excellent - great food, perfect service, and terrific atmosphere. We will definitely go back to this restaurant!
nice personal size pizza - try the cheebo bread

Provided by CitysearchConvenient grub since I live a few blocks from here, and not too shabby either. I always get take out from here, and it's always good.

Provided by CitysearchAlways enjoy eating here. Usually have the mushroom or smoked salmon pizza, or the multi-vegetabled (asparagus, fennel etc) chopped salad at lunch. Particularly like the half-chicken at dinner, organic, moist, luscious and comes with comforting amount of mashed potatoes and lemony spinach. But I've tried lots of other dishes, including the daily specials, and rarely been disappointed. Don't ignore the artichoke app or arugula fennel salad. I could go on.
Like the smallness of the room, and the friendly bar. Feels like home.

Provided by CitysearchWhatever I feel like having for dinner, there's something good on the Cheebo menu to suit my fancy. I love the sauces that accompany the fresh fish specials; they should sell them. Sometimes they have lemon garlic spinach and veg risotto with the special, perfectly cooked. My friend loves the Friday evening rack of lamb; he says it is to die for, tender and tasty. I’m with those who love those delicious thin crust pizza slabs especially the smoked salmon (house made). My rack of lamb friend calls the tomato/red pepper soup sensational. The vibe is friendly and colourful. I’ll probably be back there next week knowing me.

Provided by CitysearchOn Halloween night 2009, I ordered a pizza from Cheebo. After eating a few slices, I noticed an item underneath the cheese that was obviously not a pepperoni. Assuming it was a mushroom or onion, I proceeded to pick it out; unfortunately, as you'll see, the foreign object was a bolt! After taking the pizza back to Cheebo, the manager on duty did not offer to reimburse me for my expenses, but instead became very cavalier, saying, ""Well, you didn't chew it, did you?"" A complaint with the Los Angeles Health Department is forthcoming. You may see video of the pizza at youtube and searching for ""Cheebo Extra Topping"" by the user LAConsumer.

Provided by CitysearchI am usually of the opinion that if you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all..but this is certainly not the case with Cheebo.
I hate to say but I ate here because I saw it on ""The Hills""..I know, I know! What I didn't know was that the wait staff would be incredibly rude and that my amazingly mediocre food would take nearly 45 minutes to get to the table!
I really do hate to say it but this is probably the worst place I have ever eaten in L.A. I would not be surprised if it closed very soon.

Provided by CitysearchBy far the worst service I have ever recieved in any eatery in Los Angeles, and the food is nothing to rave about either. I would never go back and would advise friends to find somewhere else to eat!

Provided by CitysearchI literally just got home from dinner at Cheebo and was so insenced that I created a Citysearch account just so that others do not have to share my fate!
Myself and my wife went to Cheebo looking for a tasty meal before a movie, what we got was a 1 hour wait for a bowl of pasta that tasted like a tin of capers had been dumped on it and a pizza that tasted almost identical to the Cheebread appetizer (which we waited 30 minutes to be served).
Our waitress was spaced out and once she got the hint that we did not enjoy waiting an hour for pasta and a pizza she avoided us entirely! Then the bill came and we saw that we were also expected to pay an almost extortionate price for food that was bland and almost cold and service that was nonexistent.
Oh and the music continually cut out and the entire restaurant was blasted with an extremely loud static sound until it was fixed (3 times!)
Like other reviewers we noticed that when we left the staff were standing around chatting and did not say 'goodbye' or 'thank you'. Cheebo is probably one of the worst places you can eat in L.A, avoid at all costs!

Provided by CitysearchThe delivery service at Cheebo is one of the main reasons I eat there, other than the wonderful food. My food was delivered within 30 minutes and tasted amazing. It's the perfect healthy delivery choice!

Provided by CitysearchThis Hollywood eatery offers a wide selection of organic food options for every occasion including pizzas, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Even though some menu items were slightly over-priced the food was still tasty and beautifully arranged. I had granola with yogurt which was lavishly strewn with fruits. My friend had pancakes with whipped cream and strawberry slices, while the whole arrangement was lovely decorated with strawberry sauce. All in all, the portions were pretty ample, our waitress was very kind and chatty and our glasses were refilled with water all the time.

Provided by CitysearchThe food is delicious but I would say a little on the overpriced side for ""organic""; let's not get carried away. The service is not good, the servers are bitchy, and inattentive for such a small place.
Also, don't ever invite a large party there, they will only accept 4 credit cards because more than that and it clogs up and crashes their computers. They also add 21% gratuity, which I definitely would not have left for such lousy service.

Provided by CitysearchI've been to Cheebo twice in the past couple of weeks. The food was consistent both times and was quite tasty. The service, however, was consistently slow. I would defintiely go back though. Just make sure you have plenty of time to eat.
Cheebo apparantly prides itself on being 'organic.' Here is the beauty of that. I've eaten there about a dozen times, as it is just up the street, and I've taken many visitors from out of town to Cheebo as I feel it is a great spot to eat and squeeze in a little entertainment. For one, the location almost guarantees a celebrity sighting and the paper table cloths and Crayolas at every table give you the opportunity to conduct impromptu Rorschach tests on your guests. But that is beside the point. Point is, I had no idea they were organic. The food is traditional but always tastes above par for the course. Salads, sandwiches, pizzas and pastas are all on offer in many varieties. Not your typical organic menu no? Sounds somewhat everyday, but as I said, all of these seem to be a bit more than you'd expect in flavor and presentation. Specialty entrees are always plated beautifully though I've never ordered one. I come to Cheebo for their pizzas. The crust is amazing and their choice of toppings always fresh. Finding out that ingredients are organic puts to rest that lingering question I've had about Cheebo. Why is the cheese so good? I guess organic mozzarella is the way to go. It is creamy and stringy and stretchy and just so right on with their wild meshroom and pesto pizza. You can eat on the cheep at Cheebo, but by adding one beer you tack on about ten dollars to your tab. So, keep that in mind if you are planning on making this your local haunt.

Provided by CitysearchUh. Yum. The entire place is 360 degrees of yum. If you're cute you probably already know about Cheebo, you probably already hang out there twice a week. I think it has something to do with the orange and yellow building; cute people are attracted to it. Head first. The waitstaff here is hot, hot, hot. I think you have to be a model to serve people pizza and pasta in this joint; they're all mostly friendly, happy to see you, happy to get you drunk. I recommend the pepperoni pizza. Cheebo pizza's come on a slab, they make it in a wood fire oven, and you want to eat it up as fast a possible. They've got a good wine list. My friends like their salads. There's funky artwork on the wall. And the staff is hot. Are you getting this? For good eatin' and good lookin'--go to Cheebo.

Provided by CitysearchWhat bland food, pathetic portions, and mediocre service. Who's running this place? It must be a front for some other type of undercover operation--maybe UFO work or something. I swear, our waitress was spacey as a drunken loon. I complained about the taste of my salad, but the waitress was so detached and apathetic about it when she asked if I wanted to talk to the manager, I told her not to bother. I felt sorry for her. I feel sorry for Cheebo, er, uh, make that ""Cheap-o."" No, wait, actually, I don't feel sorry for Cheap-o. I hate it when I pay my hard earned money for mediocre food and service. You want a good meal in this neighborhood? Try the Indian place down the street, or, you could get better salads at McDonald's. I kid you not!!!

Provided by CitysearchThe service at Cheebo was a nightmare from the minute we walked in until when we left. I nearly walked out when we got there, but we were going to the theater and were on a time crunch, so we stayed. Bad mistake. The pizza was good, but you can find better pizza, salad and appetizers at Pizza Mozza. Plus, at Pizza Mozza, they actually care about the service! Cheebo burned the chocolate souffle that one review had raved about, so it tasted burnt and the ""molten"" center was all cooked. There was no wait when we got there, and now I know why. Everyone had already heard about what horrible service Cheebo has... There were 5 staff standing around the entrance when we left -- and not one moved to say thank you or good night. Stay away from this place!

Provided by CitysearchThis place used to be one of my favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fresh, great selection, just an awesome place. Then I went there for breakfast the other day and was just really disappointed. The majority of the egg dishes say ""your choice of filling."" Except there is no listing anywhere for what those fillings are. When I asked the waiter if he had a list, he said no, and then proceeded to rattle off 10 or 15 fillings you could choose from. Come on, people. If you're going to offer a wide selection - which is a GREAT thing - then list what you have to choose from. This is the kind of cooler-than-thou institutional attitude that makes a great place a LOSER place. If you offer many ways to have breakfast then don't make it some kind of in-the-know thing of what the hell kind of breakfast you can get. Stop trying to be so freaking cool. You're not.
Add to that the fact that when I asked a waiter if they had anything to balance my wobbly table he sort of moved in an inch or so for me to an equally wobbly spot, and only came over once I got down on the ground myself to try and shove some sugar packets under it. He kind of stood there and watched me do it. Totally unhelpful.
I'm sure these could be seen as minor gripes, but I'm seeing it as indicative of where it's going. I've seen it many times in LA, and Cheebo had best right the ship and get themselves back on track with the kind of place they used to be or this place has a real chance of just sinking. And I hope they do, cause it used to be a solid, solid restaurant.
