Mean Owner!!! Don't go, especially late at night!
My husband and I decided to go out for pizza late on Friday night. An acquaintance recommended The Village. According to this website, they close at midnight. We drove about 25 minutes to this place, getting there around 10:25pm, and found out that they closed at 10pm. I asked one of the employees outside to see his manager so that I could let them know about the misprinted time on the website. He stated that no one in charge was at the restaurant. Just then, a truck pulls up and the employee states that the girl running in was the owner's daughter. As she came out, I called for her so that I could inform her of the misprint. She was very sweet and said that she would give us some pizza if any was left, but there wasn't. While we were chatting, very briefly I must add, the man in the car honked and then threw his hands up. The very nice young lady said, "oh, sorry, that's my dad the owner". We started to end our conversation and he then pulls forward again, honking and yelling at her to come to the car because he was hungry. I stuck my head out of the car and said, "hey!!! I am a customer". He didn't care and whined more. I let her go to her but stated that we won't be back. It's very unfortunate since he had no idea who we were and the business we could have brought him. But...maybe he just doesn't need any more business. Good luck grouchy! Totally uncalled for and childish behavior for a restaurant owner!!! Thank you for your kindness daughter of grouchy! I appreciate your professionalism!

Provided by CitysearchVillage Pizzeria offers delicious pizza. The crust is amazingly thin, the ingredients are good, and they serve the perfect ratio of toppings to crust. Next time I'll go for the Hawaiian!
you have to try it love the location
I decided to stop here for lunch as I was driving through on vacation and I was quite pleased. The place was nice and the pizza was great. I only had pizza so I can't speak for anything else on the menu, but I'll be back when I'm in the area again for sure.

Provided by CitysearchThe pheasant ravioli is to die for! Quaint little nooks to sit and eat with privacy. The place is very chic yet, still feels cozy and not at all stuffy. Will definitely be back!

Provided by CitysearchGo this restaurant for an excellent taste of Italian dish. The pizza is really good and I highly recommend it.
f you're not ordering a pizza with eggplant and sausage, you're not getting the true VP experience.

Provided by CitysearchThis place has a really amazing design and atmosphere I was surprised to see a place like this with such a poor service and average food that's everything but Italian.

Provided by Citysearchgood food, good wine selection and great atmosphere. the red checkered table cloth variety of Italian restaurants.

Provided by CitysearchGreek Salad and Crab Ravioli... my fav! The best part is that you get to bring your own wine and enjoy the views of sunset while you sit back and relax. Its a great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Great atmosphere, good wait staff, and great food. The eats and drinks are a bit overpriced so don't plan on an economical night.
Great pizza - what more could you want?

Provided by CitysearchI would have to agree with the reviewer CSMobileUser2. The crust is simply too thin. Even folded over, the slice sags and droops and ingredients fall off. They fall off because there is hardly any cheese to hold them down, and that's IF they're even placed under the cheese to begin with, which, sadly for some by the slice orders, they are not. And Mapleman, their sausage IS incredible. It's incredible a place boasting pride and tradition in their pizza still uses that crappy, crumbly sausage that even Domino's stopped using years ago. This place is bogus.
I really like the thin crust pizza here. The sauce is rich and perfect with the real cheese they use. Parking is a little tricky on Larchmont but be patient.

Provided by CitysearchFounded by former Brooklyn-ites, this pizza joint is all about NY, down to its decorations (NY inspired memorabilia), which keeps the spirit of the Big Apple alive. Their delicious, hand-spun pizzas are wrapped with dough made daily and contain no additives, while the toppings are ripe, fresh and California grown.

Provided by CitysearchI have only ordered once from Village Pizza however it was very easy. I was able to place my order online and someone called to confirm the order and 20 minutes later they were at my door. Great Service!!!
The food is also very very good!
I don't know why, in all the years I've lived here, it's taken me so long to try this place. While I LOVE deep dish, sometimes a great NY crust is great. The crust here is awesome, and I judge pizza by the crust. Can't be too thin, too soggy, too hard, and definitely has to have flavor. Oh, this pizza hits all my thin crust qualifications. And I'm not a huge toppings person, but their meatball is really yummy. Plus I can hit Crumbs and get a coffee as well for dessert. Ah, a perfect Sunday date!

Provided by CitysearchThey have the best thin crust pizza here and what separates them from everyone else is their crust!! The garlic rolls are also very very good and price is so affordable! $8.50 for a whole lunch special (which includes an individual pizza of 6-8 slices, a side salad, garlic roll and drink)
