Aroma Ridge

I love this coffee. Their beans make the best cold brew I've had. And they are the nicest people too. Hard to believe one reviewer would quit over a few beans difference between scales. I'm pretty certain my kitchen scales would not be as accurate as commercially regulated scales.

I highly recommend this. The coffee is bagged properly, so it arrives super fresh when it ships. And arrived promptly (3 days) for standard shipping.



I got the Malawi blend, and the aroma from just opening the bag was incredible.



Brewed with a Chemex. If manually brewing, just make sure the water isn't too hot (proper temp: 200 degrees, or about 30 seconds off a boiling heat), and make sure to brew for 4 minutes exactly (definitely not more). If there is water left over in your kettle after the 4 minutes, then just remove the grounds, and add the rest of the water to the coffee water in the carafe.



The technique in brewing can make all the difference between phenomenal taste, and coffee that tastes bitter/burnt. So when doing it manually, just make sure you're procedure is precise. (It takes a little practice if you're a beginner with it)



If Aroma Ridge could somehow offer a deal with free shipping (e.g, like with orders of $40 or more), then I would really be blown away.

Make sure you weight your pound !! My experience with Aroma ridge formally Rona coffee on1/4/11.Order placed on 12/26/2010 5:42:36 P.M. Each pound of coffee was under a pound the Gayo Mountain(442g) Aged Sumatra Manheling (446g) I called them and they are making good on the missing coffee, they also explained that they get there scale calibrated quite often with the Department of Agriculture and questioned the accuracy of mine. This was the first time in years of buying coffee from them i decided to weight my order and never thought it would come down to missing about 53 beans. I will miss you..
