The only reason I'm going back to this place is to fight for all the poor animals rotting in filthy cages. We were in the market for an iguana and told on the phone there was a big selection. Indeed there was...but the lizards are on their death beds! Eyes swollen shut, swollen limbs, skin diseases, no food/dirty water in cages. Then I noticed big bird cages; one cockatoo had the saddest eyes I've ever seen. I had to walk away in tears. It was losing feathers from stress and lack of attention/interaction. Please, everybody, report the inhumane conditions at this pet shop. I can't let this animal neglect continue.




If I could give this place a zero, I would. The place reeks with a smell somewhere between manure and death. The birds constantly squawk for attention that no one gives them. The birds have no toys, cage mates or any form of entertainment. The lizards are dry with no food and water. Some of the reptile cages have the wrong setup. All of the small animal cages are grossly overpriced and cheap.

I bought a baby rat from their store. The owner of the store is a complete jackass and wouldn't let me buy a feeder rat and made me pay $5 more for a "pet rat" when one of the employees told me they were exactly the same. The baby rat's mother was FROM the feeder bin. I took the rat anyway, despite the rudeness and health issues screaming at me because I fell in love with her right away. She was in a glass aquarium with the wrong bedding, which is a giant no-no for rats, as they can accumulate respiratory issues very quickly. Last night she started breathing heavily and I treated her the best I could until I could take her to the vet this morning. She died on the way there.

I called the store to tell them and the worker's response was "What do you want me to say?"

She then proceeded to tell me to bring in the dead body and they would replace it. I told her I buried her in the front yard and was unable to do that. She got quiet and told me to call back in 20 minutes as I heard her boss say "I'm busy" in the background.

These people are jerks and don't care about the treatment of their animals.




Customer service

Have had te pleasure of keeping some of their reptiles (snakes and lizards) and displeasure of keeping their insects (terranchillas and roaches and scorpions ((I hate bugs)) in exhibit at the farm I work at. Decided one day I wanted a ferret, walked in asking advice and what not, left very satisfied and happy with my newly informed brain and my decision to purchase a new companion! Spider (the owner) and his worker bees are great friendly people, who naturally love the aspect and animals of their trade. I would, however, recommend going to the store and getting your advice and information, there is typically only 2-3 workers running around taking care of animals an customers. They hectically answer the phone and cannot devote very much attention to the phone conversation due to the noise and rapid fire questions from people like me!



I have not purchased anything ...

I have not purchased anything from them and do not plan to. I had purchased some garter snakes, which I think came originated from them. The conversation lies below.

Woman: "Hello, Randar's Reptiles and Grooming"

Me: "Hi I have a question about your garter snakes"

Woman: "Sure"

Me: "Do you know what subspecies they are?"

Woman: "No"

Me: "Ok, now do you guys breed them or do you get them from a breeder?"

Woman: "We get them from someone"

Me: "Would you feel comfortable telling me where you got them from?"

Woman (very promptly, sarcastically and without any thought": "No"

Me: "Ok, you have a good day ma'am"

Woman (in a very disrespectful tone): "Yeah, sure"

I hope this conversation deters anyone from buying anything from their business. With disrespectful employees and lack of customer service. These people are giving the whole animal-loving community a bad name. Please do not purchase any services or animals from them.



Dog Grooming

Poor Customer Service-groomer was not there when I dropped my dog off for me to talk to and discuss any issues I might have about grooming my dog. The other staff members did not appear to have enough knowledge about grooming questions and concerns that I might have.
