J. E. Woodard elementary school is located in Columbia, Tenn. Founded in 1990, the school serves students from grades kindergarten through five. It has an enrollment of more than 600 students. It offers curriculum in areas, such as English, reading, writing, music, art and special education. Its art curriculum includes artists histories, world cultures and Olympic games. The school also operates a media center that offers accelerated reading program. The school s physical education department offers opportunities in chess, bowling, track, gymnastics and rope games. J. E. Woodard elementary is a part of the Maury County Public Schools that is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
