This Credit Union is top notch with customer service. I've been with them for about 15 years now. I've had auto loans with them and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to deal with them using the phone and mail because there is no branch location near me. I use their app to deposit any checks that I receive and I have direct deposit. If I ever need cash, I use an atm. I also have their Visa credit card that gives me 1.75% cash back on every purchase. I use it for practically everything - even to pay bills. It is quick and convenient, and the cash back adds up quickly. They also have an easy start certificate of deposit that pays a higher interest rate than I was able to get anywhere else. Thank you, NFCU.
Loan Lending was incredibly easy to work with. For every step of the way to our refinancing, they were responsive and their instructions were clear. Being able to do everything online alleviated any concerns of the pandemic. I had a low credit score of 501 with a couple of negative items, I got approved for a mortgage loan of $72k and the interest was fair enough! NFCU is a solid place to bank. USAA is a close second. Each institution has it's ups and downs but customer service is the number one goal of both. I just read a post that rated NFCU low. I am a 6th generation Marine and my family has been banking with NFCU since I can remember. My entire family uses both places to bank. I have NEVER had a problem with funds transfer that NFCU did not take care of me, the customer. Thanks Navy Fed.
Our family saving is gone thanks to NFCU's unwillingness to admit to its security flow and it's profit first strategy.
Someone somehow gained access to our NFCU check account and transferred $4,500 from our checking account to a Bank of America Account that does not belong to us in less than 24 hours. Strangely unlike all the other banks, there is no verification involved when trying to transfer money out of account....We noticed the problem in less than 24 hours and it still didn't matter.
NFCU's response? Since the transfer was initialized from one of our devices according to their IT, it is highly likely we made this transfer to this external account that does even belong to us, so fraud claim denied!! Whats worst is they refuse to provide us with the info for our police report unless we obtain court order, making rude comments about we still have plenty in our check.
After being a member for over 10 years, we always thought we were lucky to have NFCU because we served this country, we honestly wish we have the worst bank in the world right now than NFCU.
We will be dedicating the rest of our life spreading the good word, so keep on deleting will not help you NFCU, this is only the start.
