Vons

It's great to have a Von's in the neighborhood. Their recent store remodel has been a nice change. They have a very large produce area with a nice selection of organic fruits and vegetables. It's conveniently located on Allen Avenue with plenty of parking.

Conveniently located just a half-mile or so from my home, this is my "go-to" Vons where I get grocery items that I can't otherwise buy at so-called specialty grocery stores. It's super convenient when you need a last minute item for a holiday meal or party, though it can get super crowded during the holidays. The store is well-kept and well-stocked for the most part, and has a bank, pharmacy and Starbucks located inside, along with a full-service deli. People drive a little nuts in the parking lot, so shoppers beware.

This Vons (on North Allen Avenue) has been around for quite a while. It's a busy store and one of the only large markets in the area known as East Washington Village. The store recently underwent a complete redesign, and the result is great. Though the basic layout has not changed, the interior and atmosphere have been greatly improved. All in all a nice family store, with most of the popular brands in stock on a regular basis. Beware their health and beauty aid prices however, as even with a coupon, some HBA items are several dollars more than what you'll find at a large discount retailer.
