I have taken my vehicle here on 3 separate occasions. Their rates are very reasonable and the staff is very well qualified.
Kevin does a good job explaining to me exactly what is wrong and gives me options for repairs. He even allows me to purchase my own parts and bring them in, which saves quite a bit of money versus most other shops in NWA, who have a 30-50% markup on list price for parts.
The most important thing to me is that they charge actual time to repair instead of the book rate. For example, if you need a tie rod replaced, most shops will charge you a flat rate of 1.5 hours. NWA Auto Shop charges actual time with a maximum of 1.5 hours. This means that if the mechanic completes the job in 45 minutes, you are only billed for 45 minutes instead of the full hour charged by other shops.
If you go anywhere else first, get a second quote from Kevin and his team. You will be pleasantly surprised!
Don't forget to ask about their military discount and be sure to tell Kevin that Shannon sent you!
I have found the last honest mechanic in the country. NWA Auto Body. Not only is this guy amazing, he provided a complete system scan of my car for free and 50% off labor and parts at cost all because I'm a Veteran. If you have a veteran in your immediate family he offers the same deal. I won't ever go anywhere else. And talk about customer service. I felt like family. He let me watch the whole system scan, checked everything from the electrical to the pressures, and even the timing. Reset everything for me and got me back on the road in no time. He sells parts at cost (his cost) if you're going anywhere else you are paying too much.
I had my rack and pinion replaced here in September and the part failed this week. I called them to try to schedule an appointment and they told me that since they are moving shops, they don't have a place to work on my car. On top of that, Kevin (the shop manager) told me that I would have to pay the full amount again until Auto Zone reimburses them later. I was informed that they have been trying to get other parts in the shop reimbursed for months now to no avail. Even if the parts/labor are reimbursed, it may not be the full amount. I would have chosen another shop if I had known that they would not be able to honor their warranties. Customer service is horrible; if there is a problem, they point fingers. Don't be fooled by their smooth talking. When it gets down to it, they don't perform and will scam you out of your money.
I wanted to send out a Very Big THANK YOU to NWA -- They fixed my car and it cost me half of what it was going to cost me at another Auto Repair shop! They are Quick, Friendly and knowledgable! If you are needing your car fixed-- check out my friends at NWA! You will be Glad you did!
