Luigi's Pizza

I have been going to this place for years and I've never had a bad pizza. The staff are great and the atmosphere is awesome. I am always telling people to come here for great pizza.

Love the pizza here. Went was a kid growing up. Everyone from the area would be there. Now as adults we take our kids!

I am new to the area and is looking for some really great pizza. I saw that Luigi's was rated as one of the best pizza place in Sacramento so I checked it out. I ordered sausage and mushrooms which I'm sure would've been an ok pizza if it hadn't been for the copious amounts of seasoning that were put on the top. It was like an Italian seasoning blend, it was very salty and not to my taste. I thought the crust was pretty good it was sort of a thin Classic Italian wood fire Type crust. Fortunately my kids liked it. I guess a lot of people love this place but I personally wouldn't go back.

Our family's quest every Friday in search of Great Pizza in Sacramento has lead us to this quaint Pizza Parlor. We were personally greeted by it's long time owner, Luigi who was extremely welcoming. He made us feel right at home. We have the perspective of all ages from 8-68. We ordered both the thin and regular crust Pizza's and on scale from 1-10 (1being the worst and 10 being the best) PIZZA scores a 10. The toppings were awesome tasting and the Cheese was extremely cheesy. No wonder they've been in business over 45 years, GREAT JOB LUIGi!!

Luigi's has been around for some 45 years. I have been going there for about 25 years. After living in NYC for 4 years in the 60's, one thing I learned is that NYC pizza

is the real deal! I frequented Queens Pizzaria in Brooklyn Heights, which was NY Times

number 1 rated pizza in NY...LOVED IT! They made a pastrami pizza to die for! WOW!

Coming back to the Sacramento area in late 69, after a few years I resigned myself to the obvious...No pizza in Sacramento could touch a TRUE NYC PIZZA!

I was wrong!!! Luigi's compares better than ANY pizza I had in NY! A friend of mine spent several weeks in NYC as well as Brooklyn a couple of years ago...He tried the best he could find.........He said NONE compared to Luigi's PERIOD!!!

NOW we have Luigi's by the Slice downtown to marvel you with more of the best!

Kudo's to Chelso for his world class PIZZA! My favorite is his unsurpassed PASTRAMI

We grew up near Luigi's and now I'll drive twenty miles just for the pizza. Very good.
