This is my most favorite pizza place ever. Love the atmosphere and the interesting history too. We'll certainly be back. They have my high Recommendations!!!
Hotel clerk suggested Oregano's and sure enough it was everything he said it would be: 30min wait, crowded, great service and VERY DELICIOUS FOOD!
So worth the wait. We left feeling like we had discovered gold.

Provided by Citysearchhave been here quite a few times. Always try to get to Oregano's when visiting Tucson. Excellent service, great food. They have a great meatball marinara sandwich, which, when ordered full size, is almost too much to eat. Overall, a quality restaurant , good food, good service attenative managerial staff and priced right.

Provided by CitysearchWe have been going here for 3 years after being introduced to Oregano's in Phoenix!
Great pizza. both deep dish and thin crust!
Yea, there's a wait; but all good things come to those who wait!
Waitstaff is cool and professional!
Haven't been there in a while but GOTTA get back!

Provided by CitysearchThis place is okay if you want pizza and some entertaining stuff on the walls to keep your kids busy. But it's definitely not worth a 45 minute wait outside for a table, slow service (since the place is always packed) and a bathroom that smells a little less than fresh. The prices are kind of high for what you're getting. This isn't gourmet pizza made with organic cheeses, after all. The parking lot is a nightmare -- there just aren't enough spaces. And the ""outdoor"" seating area is just a bunch of folding tables set up on pavement. This is definitely not a place to take a large group. Try Sauce instead.

Provided by CitysearchEverything was decent except the pricing was way out of line for the food we ate. We would definitely go back if they cut their prices in half. It just wasnt worth it for the quality of food we ate.

Provided by CitysearchNot sure what people really see in this place.. THe food is average at best, its always a pain to get in.. It doesnt really make sense.
I happen to know that most of what they prepare is just frozen food they are heating up. There are a some good places in oro Valley to check out that really change your mind about ones like this.

Provided by CitysearchIf you like old time Chicago style thin crust pizza you will love Oregono's. I have aslo found their salads to be generous and very edible. I tried the lazana and had to ask where the noodles were. I go to Oregono's for pizza and salads and find the food quite good when I stick to these two items.

Provided by CitysearchOreganos is definitely over rated. Their food is average and we can tell most of which is precooked and frozen. The pizza is similar to that at peter pipers pizza. Low quality ingredients, terrible crust. The service also is terrible. Its obvious most go here because there isnt much else around speedway.
Food is great (and it is a lot!), affordable, fun place to eat at any time. Pizza is the best in Tucson, but everything it really good. You may have to wait, so if you are planning ahead make a reservation, it is worth it!

Provided by CitysearchThe first time I tried this place it was busy, and took a while for a thin crust pizza to arrive. Nice and bubbly atmosphere, though. Unfortunately the pizza was SO SALTY that it was difficult to enjoy.
Having heard that their stuffed pizzas were better, decided to give it another go. Unfortunately, they claim a 45-minute wait for the pizza, which combined with the wait for the table, would make this unattractive for those with children, or anyone reasonably hungry. A request to order the pizza in advance, to save the wait time, was met with a very straightforward ""No, we won't do that for you."" Not the kind of friendly help that makes you want to go back.
Theb perfect place to have lunch or dinner. The ambience is friendly and relax and the food is incredibly good. The portions are prices are reasonable and I asure you wont forget the taste of this incredible food.

Provided by CitysearchA fantastic celebratory restaurant! My DH and I love the personalities of the servers and bartenders...your every wish is their command! Favorites: antipasto salad, calamari, ""The Lady is a Scampi"" entree, the exceptional variety of pizzas, and of course, the pizza cookie dessert. Barbra Streisand reportedly loves the Oregano's in Phoenix, and said so during one of her concerts in Arizona!!!! Thank you for such a wonderful restaurant!

Provided by CitysearchWhere do these people eat that loved this pizza? After a 30 minute wait in the lobby, we were seated in the half empty restaurant. We ordered pesto bruschetta and a pizza. The pesto bruschetta was large, delicious, and made with high quality bread. The 14"" thin crust pizza came about 18""-20"" (we were only charged for 14"") another 30 minutes later with a blah, too thin and too crisp crust, excessively salty sauce with the toppings diced as small as possible(canned most likely), smelled and looked like a chuck e cheese pizza. It smelled and tasted freezer burned. Very disappointing. The slivers of cilantro were zig zagged(chopped fresh cilantro doesn't look like that), I have never seen anything like it... It is the worst pizza we have had out to date.

Provided by CitysearchReally good, fresh food and great prices. For what you pay, this is very good food. Great fun semi-noisy atmosphere, which really matches the decor, the food, and the service. Be sure you order the Chocolate-chip cookie dessert--it's yummy. Buy a T-shirt for 5 dollars...they are really cool.

Provided by CitysearchThis is some of the best Italian I've had in a restaurant. There are long waits because the food is made FRESH unlike some of the mediocre national chains and because it's so good people just keep coming back for more. But there's a simple solution...call in your order ahead and get it to go. I've never been disappointed by the pizzas, although I think the pasta dishes (such as Alfredo the Dark, a spicy alfredo dish) are the unsung heroes of the menu. The cheesy garlic bread is not to be missed. If you insist on eating there, I suggest going as early as possible and don't go hungry!! In fact, you may want a light snack before you go. At peak times, you could be looking at about a 2 hour wait. It will be worth the wait, but for those of you not so patient, I insist, take-out is the way to go.

Provided by CitysearchWe had a group of 5 and were all in a great mood until being seated. Even while waiting an eternity outside to be seated, we were lauging with a few other groups of people waiting and sharing drinks. Then we were finally crammed into a very small corner near the bar area. The waiter said he'd be back in a second to take our order, but instead, continued to flirt with a few girls at the next table. We finally got our drink orders taken, then our food orders were taken sometime during the next 40 minutes. Three of our group kept getting bumped in the back by people trying to scoot by our table, and we are not even remotely large people. Our drink orders were messed up, while our pizza was greasy and cold. All in all, it was not a good experience...until we left!
